I bought adorable green-laced ballet flats for 259 crown...which is about 12 USD. I think I made the lady who was working really mad because I didn't know my size. All I knew was the size on the counter, a 36, looked way too small. So I tried on a 43, 41, and finally a 39, which I ended up buying. I probably could have bought the size 36. Also, my converse had the EU size printed on the inside.
After going to the tiny mall-connected to grocery store-with mini golf, my roommate and I went to the Globe bookstore. I bought the book of the movie we watched today in class, and we stayed for open-mic night for about an hour. The first guy played guitar and sang some American songs, including "Greatest Song in the World" by Tenacious D. Then some Canadian guy read poetry that necessitated bongo drums. Then two other guys played guitar and sang some interesting tunes. Finally a guy sang some a Capella Irish drinking songs. It was all very American-touristy, but still worth while.
I am much more comfortable with my directions now (I know where North is, most of the time), and I absolutely love the street-level tram system; I still need more experience with the underground metro.
